Tantra Is For Lovers

Tantric Healing

One staple present in most of my in-person sessions is an intimacy exercise done in the yab-yum position.  This is also the staple exercise used in virtually  all of the HAI (Human Awareness Institute) workshops.   The position in which we sit during one of our intimacy exercises within our session is a variation on the one pictured.   It is not actual love-making, and when it is first introduced to you, it is done with clothes on.  This is part of the wisdom of Tantra:  to create a safe, sacred space for both man and woman so that mutual intimacy can begin to be built.  Please note that although our session together is sensual and does provide sexual information and education, it does not include the offering of sexual favors-- and that's not what Tantra is about anyway.

Sensate Focus

Sensate Focus exercises, scientifically-proven to be useful in assisting sexually-distressed couples, also help to build intimacy, and you can learn their basic principles within the context of our session, whether in-person or on the phone.  They have been used in clinical settings for years in order to help couples enhance the quality of their intimacy, however, they can also be done at home.

Sex Education

Almost invariably, sex education is included in our session, whether the session is in person or by phone.  I completed my training as a Sex Educator at San Francisco Sex Information more than 15 years ago.  In addition, I have researched on my own the science of sexuality.  I teach clinically-proven methods to prolong lovemaking and delay ejaculation for men.

Relationship and Spiritual Advising

All Tantra entails a relationship, whether that relationship is with oneself, God, or another human being.  (One could argue that the first two are always present anyway.)  We review principles in The Art of Loving, many of which have their roots in Tantra.

Touch Therapy

Experiencing touch is essential to our well-being as human beings.  We have everything from art lessons to violin lessons, but how about lessons in how to get and stay in touch with ourselves and each other?

Tantric Partner Selection

As with most ancient spiritual teachings, the ideal is to love everyone.  Alas, I have not as yet achieved this ideal, at least not in the "up close and personal" context of an in-person Tantric Session.  Accordingly, I ask prospective partners to bear with the screening process if they see value in my approach, which combines the ancient wisdom of Tantra and other spiritual approaches with the scientific knowledge found in psychology and the social sciences.  Although I believe that everyone stands to benefit from this teaching and healing, I may prefer to love some only from a distance.  I ask your understanding in this delicate matter.
