Learn to "Last Longer"
For thousands of years, Tantra has taught a select few esoteric techniques that allow them to lengthen the time that one can actively participate in lovemaking. Now with the advent of modern science, Sex Therapy methods easily provides scientifically-proven methods which virtually anyone can master.
Intensify Pleasure
But it's even better than that. Our scientific understanding of relationships, intimacy, motivation, and sexuality now gives us the tools to deepen our sense of fulfillment with ourselves and each other. The experience of pleasure can be intensified physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. When an individual has an intensely pleasurable spiritual experience, they often identify as an enhanced connection with the Divine.
It's not just physical.
The four realms-- mental, emotional, spiritual, physical -- are synergistic and tend to feed off one another. Accordingly we use the term Holisitic Healing, from the original word "whole." Tantra is by its very nature slow, hence the Slow Lifestyle Movement .
What Doesn't Work
Even the most skilled and serious Tantra Teachers are inclined to spread misinformation through their sessions and books. This can actually cause harm because people can feel like failure when they make a strong effort to improve their love-making skills, and then find that their efforts were for naught. Furthermore, they may spread the idea that they could learn to "make love for hours" if only they received the proper training and practiced properly. The notion is unrealistic at best.
Furthermore, deep breathing, distracting yourself, or attempting to hold yourself in are all methods that are ineffective in teaching men to delay their ejaculation. None of these has been shown to be effective in that capacity.
In this regard, then, Tantra can actually do a disservice to both men and women. For the greatest fulfillment of both men and women, to increase the chances that both partners' needs will be met, it best not to exaggerate the likelihood and importance of strictly sexual feats. My understanding of the purpose of Tantra is spiritual harmony and fulfillment, and this can rarely be attained under conditions of artifice.
